Different but charming
In an obituary for 25-year-old elementary school teacher Yunhee Song, right, Principal Robert Bruce recalled the way she concluded her interview for the job.
"I interviewed her at Columbia Mall and we had a delightful chat. ... We laughed quite a bit, I remember. It was a great interview, and at the end she got up and said ‘Would you like an ice cream?’ That struck me; I’ve never had anyone say that before. ... "
That's generally not going to get you very far, and it may not have had any effect on Sung's chances, but it sounds as though the setting for the interview and Song's character, as described in the obituary, made it come across naturally.
