Archived Chat: What Are the Advantages, Disadvantages to Going Back to School?
Posted by Joe Grimm at 1:47 PM on Sep. 23, 2009
As journalists get laid off and take buyouts from their respective news outlets, some are heading back to school to further their education -- either in journalism, related areas of study or other fields altogether.

During this week's career chat on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m. EDT, Poynter's Colleen Eddy and I will discuss how to decide whether you should go back to school, and what this could mean to your career.

We invite you to join the conversation and submit your questions, either during the chat or in advance using the hashtag #poynterchats on Twitter.

You can revisit this link at any time to replay the chat after it has ended.
