How about stretching your budget into the future with Poynter Green?
Poynter Green is a certificate your organization can buy now and apply to future training at The Poynter Institute. Certificates can be purchased online or by phone. To order, call Latishia Williams at 727-821-9494.

How does it work?
You buy Poynter Green certificates now, and when people from your news organization are accepted into Poynter seminars or NewsU courses, you can use Poynter Green toward the tuition.

How much does it cost?
Poynter Green certificates have a value of $100 each. You can purchase as many as you wish in $100 increments.

Do Poynter Green certificates expire?
Poynter Green certificates are good for two years from the date of issue, so you have plenty of time to use them.

Can I combine the certificates with cash to pay for training?
Sure. For example, if you purchase $1,000 in Poynter Green, you can use a combination of certificates and traditional billing to pay for several Poynter programs over the next two years.

So this isn't a discount?
Poynter Green is not a discount, just a way to make certain your training dollars can be banked for future use.

Does buying Poynter Green give folks from my news organization priority in being accepted into Poynter seminars?
We're always eager to welcome good journalists and media leaders into Poynter programs, but in fairness to all, we don't offer priority admission.

What programs are covered by Poynter Green?
You can use Poynter Green to pay for seminars and NewsU courses.

Where can I find a schedule of seminars and NewsU courses?
You can find seminar information at http://www.poynter.org/seminar/. You can find information about NewsU courses at http://www.newsu.org.

When can I purchase Poynter Green?
You can purchase Poynter Green all year round.

Interesting idea. Why do you have this program?
We've heard from news managers who want to be certain their training dollars don't go unused. We want to help. We hope Poynter Green training certificates will aid their budgeting and planning.

You all do such great work. What if I want to help train journalists by donating money to Poynter?
Thanks for asking. To learn more about making a gift to Poynter, you can go to http://www.poynter.org/donate.
