We'll use this column, which is not linked from the public columns list on Poynter Online, as a test ground for blogging on Poynter Online. Although not linked, bear in mind that it does live on the Web, which means it may show up in search engines that spider our site. So let discretion remain the better part of your blogging valor, please.

I believe you'll find helpful this tutorial that Meg produced for the blog that she and Chip created for the Reporting & Writing for Multi-Platform Newsrooms recent seminar. Couple things to keep in mind: (1) Some of Meg's coaching refers to that blog as opposed to this blog and  (2) If you have questions or concerns as you learn the system, please feel free to check with Pat or Leann or me.
