The International Herald Tribune ( http://www.iht.com/ ), also offers visitors the choice of single or multi column formats at the click of a mouse. Both these options - fonts and column format make the site quite user friendly. Why is it that not many online news sites are offering such options?

The Sacramento Bee's Web site does this, too -- and much better. It also lets users switch between sans-serif and serif fonts. (Thing is, it only works in IE.)

The website of the International Herald Tribune also has a font-control feature. Here's an example:
