Glenn seems to be a genuinely nice guy. Sometime back I sent a polite email disagreeing with one of his posts. He quickly replied with a friendly email of his own - and because he was going on vacation he even offered a more private email address.

Because of his niceness, I bet he gets a lot of email about neat stuff he might not otherwise get, which certainly helps with the variety. For me, that means he's both a destination and a portal, something very few have figured out how to do.
