better idea

This is an interesting idea, but still requires CDs and the burning thereof. Seems wasteful and time consuming.

Newspapers and other publications should look into partnerships with the new satellite radio providers. They could start their own stations to provide audio broadcast of news on the radio.

The only downside to this, compared to the CD idea, is that the listner couldn't control when different stories are played, but would have to tune in as with CNN. But a paper could concievably come up with 15-minute or 30-minute broadcasts of their top stories and cycle them throughout the day.
