Title: Did your staff verify Sharon's stroke?
Posted By: Jim Romenesko

From FORREST BROWN: To all the editors all across America who apologized to their readers for messing up on the West Virginia mine story and have taken on the burden of responsibility of having the wrong story, I have two questions:

Did you run a story today about Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke? If you
did, how did you and your staff independently verify that the wire services
have the story right? (We all know how unreliable information out of the
Middle East can be, even from Israel). [Permalink]
