Title: Pulitzer-winner Philp leaves Sacramento Bee
Posted By: Jim Romenesko

Sacramento Bee editorial page editor David Holwerk's memo to staff

It's my unhappy duty to report that Tom Philp is leaving The Sacramento Bee to accept a position as executive strategist with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the largest water district south of Galt. Tom will be staying in Sacramento for his new job.

I don't have to tell everyone how much Tom has meant to The Bee in his 15 years here. The Pulitzer Prize he won in 2005 is only a small part of his contribution to the paper's success.

Tom's last day will be July 11. Please join me in wishing him well in his new endeavors.

David Holwerk
