Title: "Zell has a great sense of humor"
Posted By: Jim Romenesko

From ED PADGETT: Last week I was called into the Los Angeles Times Pressroom office for my use of the F-word directed at my pressroom manager, who was not present. I was told if I used the F-word again, I would be sent home without pay.

I wrote a short piece on my blog last Saturday describing the incident, and the new sign language we not use in the pressroom to say F you to our bosses in a non-verbal manner.

Here's the kicker. Sam Zell read the post and sent me a picture of him pulling on his right ear lobe, again, published on my blog Monday.

The pressroom personal are on the floor laughing their asses off, while our managers are somewhat pissed. Sam Zell has a great sense of humor. [Permalink]
