Memo to Gawker Media employees

From: Noah Robischon
Subject: Traffic Report - New Record 254m Pageviews
To: [Gawker editorial]

We've surpassed January's massive spike at last! Total network pageviews for July: 253,928,278. New records for 6 sites. Kotaku saw a 9m bump thanks in part to the E3 games convention. Lifehacker would have broken a record even without the impressive 1.5m debut of LH Japan. Gawker landed a monster story (literally) that was worth several million views. Consumerist finished out its "Worst Company In America" contest to much fanfare. Deadspin's new editor swears he isn't trying to make Leitch look like a slacker. And io9 zoomed to 8.8m views with the help of Comic-Con. Jalopnik was also thisclose to a new record. Amazing work across the board folks.

Gizmodo 73.5m
Kotaku 44.3m*
Lifehacker 25.6m*
Gawker 18.9m*
Fleshbot 17.4m
Jezebel 15.5m
Consumerist 13.7m*
Jalopnik 13.4m
Deadspin 12.6m*
io9 8.8m*
Defamer 6.4m
Valleywag 3.3m
