FCC study: Cell phone use high; Mobile Web use low

Business Insider
New research from the Federal Communications Commission indicates that 86 percent of American adults own a cell phone, but fewer than one-third use their devices to access the mobile Web. In contrast, 66 percent have sent or received text messages. A generational gap does exist. Among younger cell phone owners, 48 percent of those ages 19-29 access the mobile Web compared to only 5 percent of those over 65.
