Ex-Philly Inquirer managing editor Lovelady dies at 66

Philadelphia Inquirer
Steve Lovelady, who worked at the Inquirer from 1972 to 1996, “was a great conceptual editor, capable of turning the complicated into something simple, usually with a bold word or phrase,” says investigative reporter James B. Steele. “With his irreverent sense of humor, he was born to be in the newsroom of a big newspaper.”
