NYT’s Carr finds a happy publishing executive at FT

“Circulation is up, the FT and its Web site made money last year and so far, a significant number of consumers seem willing to pay for unfettered digital access,” David Carr writes after chatting with Financial Times chief executive John Ridding. He tells Carr: “It is simplistic and wrong to suggest that consumers won’t pay” for online news.
