AP: Gannett 1Q ad revenue drop of less than 10% marks progress

Gannett, which reports first-quarter earnings on Friday, had an 18 percent ad revenue decline in 2009′s final quarter. Analysts expect Gannett to report earnings of 41 cents per share in the first quarter of 2010 vs. 34 cents a year earlier.
