Sporting News to take editorial control of AOL FanHouse

AOL chief executive Tim Armstrong first said that about two dozen FanHouse jobs might be lost, then later said there was no decision on job cuts and “it could be none.” AOL will continue to produce local sports coverage, he said. “We feel that in terms of consumer coverage, Sporting News plus FanHouse will provide richer content.”
