Boehner rejects C-SPAN’s request to put cameras in House chamber

House Speaker John Boehner told C-SPAN chief exec Brian Lamb that “I believe the American people – and the dignity and decorum of the United States House of Representatives – are best served by the current system of televised proceedings provided by the House Recording Studio.” C-SPAN wants to install cameras and be able to pan away from speakers to show conversations and reactions to things said during debate.
