Rich: ‘I’ve always been someone who has shaken up my career’

Women’s Wear Daily
There’s nothing the Times could have done to keep Frank Rich because “there’s nothing I wanted.” Rich tells John Koblin: “There was no way for me to reinvent myself at the Times. I’ve been a critic, I’ve been a columnist at the magazine, a senior writer writing pieces for the well of the magazine, and then did both kinds of op-ed columns, including one they very nicely created for me.” || Jack Shafer: Rich’s move to New York makes no sense to me. || Charles Kaiser: Rich will remain just as important as he has been.
