Washington Post apologizes for stories that ‘borrowed’ from Arizona Republic

In one Post story about Jared Lee Loughner‘s indictment, ten of the 15 paragraphs were copied in whole or in part from an Arizona Republic story, says an editor’s note. || Michael Calderone: The Post’s note doesn’t name the offender, but it appears to be Pulitzer-winner Sari Horwitz.

    I wonder if the reporter whose byline appears on these stories (Sari Horwitz — a Pulitzer Prize winner, no less) was responsible or if an editor was…? Very strange that the Post didn’t give a fuller explanation.

    Are they going to explain how this happened? Was the reporter disciplined?
    The readers deserve more explanation in the apology.
