Heritage Foundation honors Ailes for contributions to conservative movement

Heritage Foundation
The Heritage Foundation says Fox News chief Roger Ailes‘ “lasting legacy to America is a news source stripped of the liberal bias so commonly found among the once-dominant mainstream media” and his network’s “fair-shake coverage has made American politics and culture more hospitable to conservative ideas.”

Replacing one bias with another doesn’t promote better journalism. And with the number and consistency of errors begin committed by Ailes’ Fox News, there’s little to brag about on that side of things — not just error but intentional, explicit support for a specific political platform and party. Such a pendulum shift may be needed, but it’s not good journalism until it becomes better balanced. Fortunately for all of us, the Internet affords far greater transparency that allows for true balance and verifiable facts to emerge over time, and errors on both sides of the ideological fence are more likely to be outed.

You don’t think there is a liberal bias in the news media? Open your eyes and learn a little. The stuff they leave out of a story if it involves the liberals as opposed to the items it chooses to print if it concerns a conservative are obvious. So is the normal media practice to be sure to mention the party if it is a Republican while not mentioning the party at all or at least not before the end of the article if it is a Democrat. Remember the story about the judges in Pennsylvania who took bribes? Then read the AP story and tell me how many times it gets mentioned that the judges were active Democrats. Then mention the judges in the election in Wisconsin. The conservative judge did not bring up any political points at all while the liberal judge portrayed herself as being sure to work against the policies of the current and just elected governor. It goes way back to the days of Uncle Walter Cronkite when he broadcast about the terrible defeat in Vietnam which turned out to be such a victory that North Korea was ready to give up until Cronkite made his broadcast and thus changed the history of the Vietnam War. Also check into the Dan Rather fake documents that would not have been found out in the old days but because of the conservatives looking into it proved that the Dems and the media were both lying. Another that would never have happened before the conservatives with the assistance of Roger Ailes and his news media finally giving conservatives a voice.
