Ex-Tribune CEO Michaels is back in radio

Emmis Communications release
Former Tribune chief executive Randy Michaels has partnered with a Chicago-based private equity firm to buy controlling interest in three Emmis radio stations — two in Chicago and one in New York. Michaels — a former Clear Channel radio exec –was forced out of Tribune last October over reports of “outlandish, often sexual behavior” documented in the New York Times. Robert Feder reported the Emmis-Michaels deal in his column today (second item). On Monday, he wrote about the “Randy revelations” in Jim O’Shea’s new Tribune tell-all.
