Dumenco: Huffington Post’s summary of popular Ad Age story drove just 57 page views

Simon Dumenco says he has a case study to back up his criticism of The Huffington Post’s “unethical” aggregation practices. In June, Dumenco compared the conversation on social media regarding two different events that occurred the same day: Apple’s iCloud announcement and former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner’s admission that he had sent a lewd photo of himself to a woman via Twitter. Techmeme’s “mimimalistic” aggregation approach — a headline and a snippet — brought 746 page views, according to Google Analytics.
