Facebook is reaching out to businesses with a new guide that helps them create Facebook pages and buy targeted ads. Facebook for Business does not add any new technical features, but it is designed to help capture more of the small business advertising market. That has fresh implications for local news organizations that may be pursuing some of those same advertisers. It’s also seen as a competitive move against Google+, which recently removed business accounts, but plans to introduce business profiles later this year.

We have made it easy to comment on posts, however we require civility and encourage full names to that end (first initial, last name is OK). Please read our guidelines here before commenting.
