Traffic to European newspaper sites is up 11 percent from June 2010 to June 2011, and comScore says that Facebook is playing a role. “The figures show that in June this year, Facebook accounted for at least 7.4% of traffic to the top five newspaper sites in Europe – almost double what it was a year before,” writes The Next Web’s Martin Bryant.
