James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas says “Politico, Newsweek and other progressive publications and blogs wouldn’t be wasting their time investigating and writing about Project Veritas if we were ineffective.” It calls Howard Kurtz’s story on The Daily Beast a “hit piece,” mimicking the accusation in the story that O’Keefe opted for a ”hit job” on NPR rather than a more extensive look into media overall. || Earlier: James O’Keefe takes aim at Clay Shirky, Jay RosenStar-Ledger advertising employee to James O’Keefe: ‘I like your work’Someone is bound to do a video sting of James O’Keefe

O’Keefe says his critics “wouldn’t be wasting their time investigating and writing about Project Veritas if we were ineffective.” That makes as much sense another non sequitur you often hear from extreme-right media figures after an adversary responds to one of their ridiculous attacks: “If it makes them mad, it must be true.”
