KTLA weatherman Henry DiCarlo throws fit on air

Henry DiCarlo, the morning weatherman at KTLA in Los Angeles, threw a fit Wednesday and walked off camera after conducting a live interview and then not having time to do his weather segment. As he left, he scolded the producers: “When you send a weatherman out to do the weather but you’re also sending him out to do a story, you might want to give him a little extra time.     This headline is so misleading.  Henry didn’t throw a fit…I saw it when it happened…and they were expecting him to cram too much into a short time…and yelling in his ear.  His facial reaction cannot be construed as ‘having a fit’.  Any number of us have done the same thing when asked to do beyond what can be done in our job…I’m sure.  I believe Henry didn’t intend for it to be on camera…but hey, the guy is human…..and again, it was NOT a fit…

    He didn’t throw a fit. He only reacted to getting screwed by management and took the only action that seemed reasonable. And despite the supercilious asshole anchor. he wasn’t whining.

    Los Angeles TV news … with the emphasis on Los Angeles and TV and very little emphasis on news.

    I don’t blame the wx man. The whole episode shows how shallow TV news has become.

    Did the anchors stab him in the back!? Sure sounded that way to me. “A little whine…?” First, their response was not professional. Second, they never considered what would they be like if they had been in those shoes: cover the weather and news in the same time slot. I also notice how young everyone on that set was. Where is the experience, the maturity? Granted, a morning show, and I don’t watch news anyway because it’s the worst form of news. Can’t say as I’d appreciate that from my team mates though.
