George Will has written about Conrad Black without revealing he’s received payments from Hollinger. The syndicated columnist won’t explain why he didn’t tell readers. “My business is my business. Got it?” he says. Washington Post Writers Group general manager Alan Shearer says he was unaware of Will’s ties to Hollinger. “I think I would have liked to have known,” he adds.
