Brattleboro Reformer managing editor axed, escorted out

Rutland Herald
Kathryn Casa was given an hour to clean out her desk before being escorted out of the Vermont newspaper’s offices on Monday. “Nothing was said leading up to this,” says Casa. “It was pretty abrupt.” Reformer columnist Judith Gorman quit to protest the managing editor’s firing. “I think it’s despicable,” she says. Two other editors at the MediaNews Group paper were also fired recently.
