That makes the third owner in the newspaper’s 141-year history the newspaper’s ninth publisher, too, according to a press release. Henry has also appointed Boston advertising executive Mike Sheehan as CEO. Sheehan was previously a sports editor and reporter before he entered advertising.
Earlier this month, Henry spoke about his purchase of the Globe in a speech to the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce:
“We are going to be aggressively relevant,” he told the gathering of business leaders. “We are going to concentrate on what we are good at and we are going to dispense with things that we aren’t that good at.”
