Google on iPhone worth $100 million to Apple

Despite recent strategic conflicts between the two companies, Google is likely to remain the default search engine on Apple’s iPhone, according to a report out today. Jay Yarow at the Silicon Alley Insider reports that Apple receives more than $100 million per year in revenue share from the Google partnership. “For Apple, that’s not a lot of money. But, it’s enough that it doesn’t make sense for Apple to put considerable resources towards building its own Internet search engine.”
