Verizon working on a tablet, possibly with Google

Wall Street Journal
Google and Verizon are working on an Android-tablet designed to compete with the iPad, according to reporting by Niraj Sheth.

” ‘What do we think the next big wave of opportunities are?’ [Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam] said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. ‘We’re working on tablets together, for example. We’re looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience.’ “

Verizon and Google declined to comment on the specifics of the project, with a Google spokesperson pointing out that the Android mobile operating system is available for any manufacturer to use.
