Washington Post, Intersect partner for Stewart, Colbert rally coverage

Washington Post

The Washington Post will partner with social media startup Intersect to provide coverage of this weekend’s “Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear” in Washington, D.C.

Intersect, which enables users to post and share stories and photos relating to the “intersection” of a specific time and place, is still in beta but is providing a limited number of Washington Post readers access to the site in advance of the rally.

Marc Fisher writes that The Washington Post’s Story Lab team will file material to Intersect throughout the day on Saturday and they will ask “those in attendance and those watching at home to weigh in.” According to Intersect’s David Huntsperger, contributions by Post staffers and members of the public will be featured on washingtonpost.com, assuming they “intersect” appropriately in time and space with the rally.
