Do judges want the full picture of their proceedings, or just nice cartoons?

That’s what media lawyer Cameron Stracher asks. He’s puzzled by the thinking that “imprecise drawings are OK; accurate photographs are not. Similarly, verbatim written transcripts are not problematic, but a sound recording capturing the nuance of a person’s voice poses a real threat.”
