Columbia j-school launches Tow Center for Digital Journalism

Martin Nisenholtz, head of digital operations at New York Times, said at the launch ceremony: “Thirteen different teams had to work together in order to construct the New York Times’ [iPad] app; collaboration and synthesis are key in the new frontier that is digital media. Journalism is not only shaped by art, but also technology.”
