Prosecutors: Medill Innocence Project arranged visit from female student as ‘treat’ to inmate

Medill Innocence Project director David Protess says he was unaware of the e-mail describing the female former Northwestern student as a “treat.” “If I did see it, I would have told the student that that was inappropriate.” He accuses prosecutors of trying to divert attention from questions about Armando Serrano‘s murder conviction.
