NYTer says 300,000 digital subscriptions goal ‘inaccurate’

“I don’t know where that number came from,” says Times digital operations senior veep Martin Nisenholtz. The number, in fact, came from his own paper; in March, Jeremy Peters reported that “company executives have said privately that the goal for the first year is 300,000.” || The Cutline on April 21: The Times has more than 100,000 digital subscribers.
