WASHINGTON, DC—August 10, 2011—Today, The Washington Post and The Verge—a new technology news site launching this fall from the creators of SB Nation—announce a partnership to share original technology reporting, videos and podcasts.
The partnership launches with the debut of a weekly column, exclusive to The Washington Post, by Joshua Topolsky (@joshuatopolsky) technology writer, former Engadget editor-in-chief and founding editor-in-chief of The Verge. The column will appear online Wednesdays and in the paper each Thursday—the day of the week consumers have grown accustomed to reading about new technology releases. The Verge is the latest partner to join The Washington Post’s technology and business section — a roster that includes Bloomberg Business News and TechCrunch. These partnerships contribute the broadest and deepest coverage to The Post’s concentration on the intersection between technology, policy and business.
