Branded Twitter pages debut for NPR, NBC News, HuffPost

Colleen Taylor reports that Twitter has introduced new “enhanced brand pages” for some news organizations and other users, a process that will continue for months. Here are the improved looks for NPR, NBC News, Huffington Post and Al Jazeera English:

The Huffington Post has about 1.5 million Twitter followers.

Al Jazeera English has about 778,000 Twitter followers.
NBC News has about 195,000 Twitter followers.
NPR has about 93,500 Twitter followers.

    You need a $25K ad buy with Twitter to even be eligible. Seems like a waste of time and money when FB has branded pages for FREE.
