Departing OC Register editor does his best to annoy TV crew
C.P. Smith is making his final days at the Orange County Register as memorable as possible. (The page one editor has taken a buyout.) During a TV report from the newsroom, he “walked over to the interview area, intentionally stood behind [a colleague], faced the camera, picked his nose, and wiped it on his shirt,” according to a KOCE-TV memo. (The TV news director doesn’t name Smith, but Kevin Roderick identifies him.) “He continues to disrupt our segments and has now escalated his attempts to embarrass both KOCE and the Register.”
