Faculty Bios

Poynter faculty members are skilled journalists with real-world experience and the ability to share their expertise and know-how in the areas of ethics and diversity, multimedia, leadership, journalism education, visual journalism, and reporting and writing for print, broadcast and online. Poynter faculty teach and inspire in the classroom, via NewsU courses and through articles, books and research. Visiting faculty and guest speakers from leading media organizations add their perspectives and enrich the classroom learning experience.

Journalists who cover media frequently turn to Poynter faculty for commentary and analysis. Our faculty are available for telephone consultation, to teach in individual newsrooms or to serve as guest lecturers and panelists at journalism conferences or universities.
