Persuasive Writing (W404)

The opinion writer can be a powerful voice in the news, whether people are looking for insight, analysis, or just a good read. This sem-inar will focus on the practical mechanics of excellent writing that transform a writer's opinions into the kinds of creative, persuasive pieces readers want. You'll write columns, editorials, and essays as part of the seminar, while learning from two of the country's top writers, your seminar colleagues, and from a Poynter faculty steeped in storytelling technique.
