Multimedia Journalism for College Educators (N301-10)

There's no need to fear technology. In this hands-on seminar, you'll learn how to gather and edit audio, shoot and edit video, create slideshows and use online resources in the classroom. You'll also learn how to apply these skills in the classroom and teach them to students who will be entering a demanding workforce.

Additionally, you'll hear from other educators throughout the United States and internationally. Find out what's working in their schools, how they use technology in their classrooms and how they use best practices to teach multimedia skills.

You'll learn:
    •    How to edit video and audio using Final Cut Pro and Audacity
    •    How to handle a camera in the field
    •    How to make tough ethics calls while working in multimedia
    •    What curriculum plans top schools are adopting to teach multimedia
    •    What today's newsrooms expect from your new graduates
