The Independent incorrectly declared a man dead:
In an article on Tuesday we inadvertently implied that Denis Norden was no longer with us. We are happy to say that our report was much exaggerated and that Mr Norden is very much still alive.
A REPORT in The Weekend Australian (“Loki the winner on handicap”, Page 35) referred to Len Ainsworth, father of handicap winner and Loki skipper Stephen Ainsworth, as “the late Len Ainsworth.” Stephen Ainsworth reports that his father, far from being deceased, is “fit as a trout.” The Australian apologises for the error.
A correction in The Australian
The article incorrectly stated that comedian Phyllis Diller is deceased. She is not.
Shayna Conway was injured in a shooting attack in Alberta on Thursday, but was not killed. Incorrect information appeared on Friday.
