February 10, 2016

Dear readers,

In case you missed it, we launched a new feature on our site today called, no joke, “In Case You Missed It.”

Just below the primary article on our homepage, you’ll notice a digest of headlines and summaries that shed light on the changing profession of journalism. They’re stories about important industry trends, major media deals, the ongoing digital transformation remaking our industry and the good ideas that can make that transition sustainable.

These stories, which are curated by the reporters, faculty and staffers at Poynter, are meant to be a timely snapshot of the most important and thought-provoking journalism about journalism, a window into what your colleagues are talking about and why.

By scouring the Web for interesting news and collecting it all in one place, we want to offer you a place to stay abreast of the most important developments shaping our industry. Nothing is more important to us than convening and educating journalists around the world, and we’re hoping this feature — along with our recently redesigned website — helps us to do just that.

If you have a story that you’d like to see here, feel free to tweet it at @Poynter with the hashtag #ICYMI, or send it to tips@poynter.org.

As always, thanks for reading.
