Anne Vasquez is the Chief Digital Officer of Tronc, Inc., formerly Tribune Publishing, where she is responsible for working across the company’s nine markets to grow digital audience and revenue. Prior to that role, she was the Managing Editor at the South Florida Sun Sentinel, the 2013 winner of the Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal for Public Service. Vasquez returned to South Florida in 2006 to join the Sun Sentinel, where as Business Editor she revamped the Money section in print and online before being named Deputy Managing Editor/Digital and tasked with overseeing SunSentinel.com. Vasquez is a board member of the American Society of News Editors. She also serves on the leadership council of the Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication at Florida International University in Miami and is a past board member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
