Cheryl Devall

Cheryl Devall is a news editor for KPCC-FM, home to Southern California's leading public radio newsroom.
She's worked as a correspondent for National Public Radio and as a senior editor for "Marketplace." Her editing credits also include NPR's "News and Notes with Ed Gordon."
She was part of the North Carolina Public Radio team that won a 2006 duPont-Columbia award for the series "North Carolina Voices: Understanding Poverty."
Her life in journalism has included reporting for the San Jose Mercury News, the Chicago Tribune, the Louisville Courier-Journal and the Boston Globe.
Devall spent the 1995-96 academic year as a Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University. She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Radcliffe College of Harvard University and a master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
