I graduated from the University of South Florida in May 2005. During my time there, I was a news reporter for the USF student newspaper, The Oracle. In fall 2004, I was a multimedia intern with The Tampa Tribune, News Channel 8 and Tampa Bay Online. In summer 2004, I completed my first paid internship at the Ledger-Equirer, in Columbus, Ga. From 2003 -2004, I was the Co-editor for Southern Griot, a literary magazine published by the Africana Studies department at USF.
