Maria Alejandra Silva Ortega is the program coordinator for the International Women’s Media Foundation, helping achieve its mission of breaking barriers for women journalists worldwide. Maria Alejandra supports the IWMF’s physical safety initiatives — both online and in-person — working to ensure the safety women and nonbinary journalists from diverse backgrounds.
