In the dynamic field of journalism and media, internships are a necessary gateway into the industry. A productive internship, whether at a local newspaper or a national media company, can lead to valuable connections and, for the most successful interns, a full-time job offer.

The advent of the fall months means internship season is upon us for spring and summer positions, so clean up your resumé, reach out to references and track down your best clips. (Not sure where to start? Poynter's News University's webinar Flourish, Don't Flounder, at Your First Journalism Job or Internship is for you).

Here's a list of more than 85 internships and fellowships from print newspapers to magazines and radio stations looking for reporters, web producers, designers, photographers and more.

If there's an internship I missed, please email me at amcbride@poynter.org to have it added.
