Poynter.org is looking to hire a digital media fellow and an online reporter. We’re seeking forward-thinking, digitally-savvy candidates who can help us grow the website and maintain its presence as a leading source of information about the media industry.

The digital media fellow will write about digital media, with a focus on mobile media and social media. The fellow will occasionally teach sessions in Poynter seminars and participate in News University Webinars. This is a full-time job, not an internship, as the word “fellowship” might suggest. Ideal candidates will have programming and responsive design skills to help Poynter.org grow its presence on mobile devices. Interested candidates can apply here by July 15.

The online reporter will write and produce multiple aggregated, original and analytical stories daily for Poynter.org. While this person will primarily write deadline-driven stories about the media industry, he or she will also have opportunities to write longer enterprise stories based off the news. Ideal candidates will already have a strong understanding of the media industry and experience writing about it. Interested candidates can apply here by July 15.
